If you love a good deal, easy DIY’s, and fall then this post is PERFECT for you friend! Ready to learn exactly how to make the cutest fall projects?
When Cricut approached me asking to create a post featuring items from the dollar store I was SO excited because I would absolutely live at our local Dollar Tree if I could.
This post is sponsored by Cricut, opinions are 100% my own.
If you are new to the Cricut it’s an amazing machine that cuts all kinds of things so you can create honestly ALMOST anything.
Wondering what you can do with a Cricut? Create custom t-shirts, signs, mugs, car decals, wall decals… and that’s just to name a few.
The awesome thing about the Cricut is that they are SO incredibly beginner-friendly. There are so many amazing resources to show you what to do every step of the way.
Alright enough of that, now let’s jump right into creating these three easy projects!
Find the full video tutorial right here and text instructions below!

Project One: Pumpkin Spice Mug
Materials needed:
- Mug (Dollar Tree!)
- Cricut Machine (I’m using the Cricut Explore Air 2)
- Cricut Black Vinyl
- Cricut Transfer Tape
- Cricut Basic Tool Set
- Cricut Standard Grip Mat
Steps:
- Gather all your materials!
- Open up Cricut Design Space and pick out your design. I picked this one!
- Place your vinyl on a standard grip mat and load into the machine.
- In Design Space click make in the top right-hand corner. Make sure your mat size is correct, the design is being cut in the same place your vinyl is, and you are connected to your machine via Bluetooth or cord!
- Press continue, make sure you have the machine set to the correct material, and click the flashing C button on the Cricut machine to start cutting.
- Click the unload button and peel your Cricut mat away from your vinyl.
- Weed the excess vinyl away.
- Transfer the vinyl design to the Cricut Transfer Tape.
- Carefully place the design on your mug- make sure not to stick it to the mug prematurely!
- Smooth the design onto the mug and carefully peel away the transfer tape.
- Enjoy your super cute budget friendly mug!

Project Two: Pumpkin Farm Sign
Materials needed:
- 11×14 canvas board (Dollar Tree!)
- Cricut Machine (I’m using the Cricut Explore Air 2)
- Cricut everyday iron-on vinyl
- Cricut weeding tool
- Cricut Easy Press 2
- Circut Easy Press Mat
- Cricut Standard Grip Mat
Steps:
- Gather all your materials!
- Open up Cricut Design Space and pick out your design. I picked this one!
- Place your iron-on vinyl on a standard grip mat shiny side down and load into the machine.
- In Design Space click make in the top right-hand corner. Make sure your mat size is correct, the design is being cut in the same place your vinyl is, and you are connected to your machine via Bluetooth or cord!
- Make sure to click mirrored cut for anything iron on! It has to be cut mirrored to go on correctly.
- Press continue, make sure you have the machine set to the correct material (iron-on) and click the flashing C button on the Cricut machine to start cutting.
- Click the unload button and peel your Cricut mat away from your vinyl.
- Weed the excess vinyl away.
- Preheat your Cricut Easy Press by simply turning it on and adjusting the temperature to 340° and the time set to 45 seconds. (This is the setting for wood, this particular canvas is thick so it won’t heat up like a normal canvas)
- Once it’s up to the right temperature, preheat the fabric for five seconds.
- Place the design on the canvas shiny side up, and make sure you have it centered!
- Press with light pressure for 45 seconds.
