Ingredients

  • 1 package of Hawaiian Rolls
  • 8 oz of thin sliced ham
  • 8 slices of provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup of poppyseed dressing
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp dry minced onion
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

    COOKING:

    1. Preheat oven to 375°.
    2. Break the rolls into two half sections then cut them in half to remove the top from the bottom.
    3. Layer bottom of bread with Ham and cheese. It's thick but don't worry it is delicious! Put the top back on.
    4. Mix together butter, poppyseed dressing, minced onion, and garlic powder in a bowl.
    5. Brush the mixture on top of the rolls.

    6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese it melty and the middle is warmed as well.
    7. Cut into portions and let cool. I usually leave three rolls together.
    8. Wrap with plastic wrap then put into freezer bags.

    REHEATING:

    9. Pop 3 frozen sliders at a time in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.

NOTE: Put a paper towel underneath the sliders and the plate when heating to prevent soggy bread.

    NOT PRECOOKED OPTION:

You could also just put this all together and not bake it. Place it in an aluminum foil pan and seal well to freeze. Then thaw before making and bake at 375° for 25 minutes or until the cheese it melted and they are heated through.

Notes

DAIRY FREE ALTERNATIVE:

-Swap to a safe cheese (any white cheese will work) and make sure to use a safe butter. We use Country Crock Original.

GLUTEN FREE ALTERNATIVE:

-Swap to a safe gluten-free bread, we love the Schar gluten-free breads.

NOTE: This recipe is one that needs a side to feed 4 people. I would add a canned veggie that can be heated quickly or some fresh fruit with it. If you have more than 4 to feed you might consider tripling instead of doubling to feed everyone. OR you can focus on doing more sides instead.
